# Roadmaps as a probability graph

Instead of looking at the roadmap as a linear journey from start to end goal, instead think of it as a graph with branching nodes of different probabilities. You may be able to explore one branch of the tree right now with relative ease, while others may be improbably due to financial limitations, staffing, ideation, etc. The probabilities of these nodes can change quite rapidly and should be frequently reviewed. In the drawing below, the different colors denote different features or area of the product / software.
