Communication Architecture

Perhaps the CEO's most important operational responsibility is designing and implementing the communication architecture for her company.
The Hard Thing About Hard Things
Many organizational issues from leaks, to scalability, to the ability to collaborate across time zones can be traced to an absence of communication architecture. What type of tools are you going to use for which types of communications? Is there a way to collate and retrieve important information without a steep barrier to entry ( think of confluence wiki and JIRA as bad examples )? Other than your product itself, the communication architecture is the most important part of a company and can largely determine how fast and how effective growth can be. Some things to think about when considering communication architecture tools:
Roles:
- Customer
- Manager
- Employee
Purpose:
- Tracking progress
- Giving support
- Building relationships
- Developing ideas
